First Cohort of Cihan University–Erbil Students Arrives in the Czech Republic for an International Training Program
As part of the university’s strategic internationalization efforts, a delegation of students from Cihan University–Erbil arrived in the Czech Republic on Saturday, January 31, 2026, traveling via Erbil International Airport. This academic mission is conducted under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established between Cihan University–Erbil and Palacký University Olomouc, aimed at providing students with prestigious global academic exposure.
During their residency from January 31 to February 9, 2026, the students will undergo an advanced training program on the principles of ‘Health, Safety, and Environment’ (HSE) at the Palacký University campus. The delegation consists of four distinguished fourth-year students from various medical departments: Hajar Mohammed Ali and Mohammed Nariman Salman (Physiotherapy), Marwan Arab Omer (Radiological Imaging Technologies), and Ali Maher Dawood (Medical Biochemical Analysis). The program focuses on integrating international standards of occupational health and clinical safety, significantly enhancing the students’ practical expertise and preparing them for the global professional labor market.
This international training program is the direct outcome of a landmark agreement signed in late 2024 by Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delowi, President of Cihan University–Erbil, and Prof. Dr. Martin Procházka, Rector of Palacký University. This milestone reaffirms Cihan University–Erbil’s commitment to expanding international horizons for its students and facilitating high-level learning opportunities at esteemed European institutions. Such initiatives are vital for advancing scientific and professional standards in the Kurdistan Region and fostering a generation of globally competent professionals.
