First Group of Cihan University-Erbil Students Departs for the United Kingdom for the International Language Development Course
As part of Cihan University-Erbil’s ongoing internationalization strategy and commitment to enhancing students’ English language proficiency level, the first group of students departed from Erbil International Airport for the United Kingdom on Friday, June 26, 2026, to participate in the Intensive Summer English Language Development Course. This academic journey is conducted in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cihan University-Erbil and the International Foundation Group (IFG).
This course, which will run until July 11, 2026, has been meticulously designed to ensure maximum scientific and field benefits for participants. Its curriculum includes 30 hours of academic lectures at IFG’s prestigious centers in Oxford and London, featuring three hours of daily linguistic training alongside specialized sessions on the British higher education system. Additionally, the cultural component is a vital part of the itinerary, with scheduled visits to prominent historical and tourist landmarks in London and other UK cities to broaden the students’ intellectual horizons.
Supervised by Mr. Anas Saada Salim Al-Khouri, the participating students are Rayan Hussein Hassan (3rd-year, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences student), Ali Maher Dawood (4th-year, Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis), and Rekawt Abdullah Rasul (4th-year, Department of Computer Science).
