Five Additional Cihan University-Erbil Students Depart for Poland for International Academic Exchange
In continuous pursuit of its international scientific exchange initiatives, a new cohort of students from Cihan University-Erbil departed via Erbil International Airport for Poland on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The group consists of five outstanding students from various departments: Kosrat Azad Khidir and Rawa Abdulsattar Jabbar (2nd-year students, Department of Medical Microbiology); Abdullah Muthanna Abdulrazzaq Mohammed and Ahmed Jabbar Hassan Yousif (3rd-year students, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics); Hevar Hazhar Mohammed (3rd-year student, Department of Biomedical Sciences). They are set to complete a full academic semester at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
The mobilization of these students is structured through two distinct academic pathways. Students Ahmed Jabbar Hassan and Hevar Hazhar Mohammed are participating via the global Erasmus+ program, funded by the European Union. With this new group, the total number of Cihan University-Erbil students dispatched through the Erasmus program since 2023 has reached ten, providing them with a golden opportunity to engage with advanced European educational systems. Meanwhile, the other three students are pursuing their studies under the framework of the Bilateral Exchange and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Cihan University-Erbil and the University of Warsaw.
At Erbil International Airport, the students were escorted by Assistant Professor Dr. Amina Sabah Mahmoud Jumaa, Head of the Medical Microbiology Department, who emphasized the importance of maintaining high academic standards and adhering to the scientific protocols of the host university. Last week, the students and their families met with Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Delawe, President of Cihan University-Erbil, who provided essential academic, social, and cultural guidance. He urged them to serve as “Scientific Ambassadors” for Kurdistan, describing this achievement as another strategic milestone for the university and its students.
