Foreign Researchers Shared Their Insights into Cihan University-Erbil and the 5th International Conference of Financial and Administrative Sciences

The 5th International Conference of Financial and Administrative Sciences, held at Cihan University-Erbil in collaboration with the University of Lodz and the University of Mosul, brought together distinguished scholars and researchers worldwide. The conference served as a platform for academic exchange, highlighting cutting-edge research in economics, finance, business, and technology. Several foreign researchers and experts shared their insights into various topics, reflecting on the significance of the event and the role of Cihan University-Erbil in fostering research and innovation.
Academic Leaders Commended Cihan University-Erbil’s Research and International Collaborations
Among the keynote speakers was Prof. Tomasz Dorożyńki from the University of Łódź, Poland, who expressed his admiration for Cihan University-Erbil. “This is my first time here and I am highly impressed by the university’s organization, hospitality, and professionalism. It strongly supports research and international projects,” he remarked.
Another distinguished researcher, Dr. Ammar Albazi, Associate Professor at Aston University, UK, emphasized the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in supply chain management. “My research focuses on improving supply chains using AI, blockchain, and optimization techniques. We deliver solutions to British companies through these technologies,” he stated. Moreover, he shared an important message with students, urging them to familiarize themselves with AI and programming. “I highly recommend learning at least one programming language, particularly Python, as it is essential for the future,” said Dr. Albazi.
Advancing Environmental and Financial Research
Dr. Twana Tahseen, a lecturer in the Business Administration Department at Cihan University-Erbil, discussed his research on environmental cost accounting and its impact on financial performance. “I found that oil companies in the Kurdistan Region are increasingly prioritizing sustainability in their financial operations,” he explained. He also underscored the importance of such conferences in academic collaboration. This is depicted through his statement, “These events allow us to share ideas, meet renowned scholars, and discuss innovative research in one place.”
The Role of FinTech in Modern Banking
Asst. Prof. Dr. Fouzan Al-Qaisi from the American University of Madaba, Jordan, provided an insightful review of the evolution of banking from traditional manual methods to modern financial technology (FinTech). He highlighted the transformation of banking services through automation, AI-driven decision-making, and electronic payment solutions. Dr. Al-Qaisi commended Cihan University-Erbil for its pioneering role in financial technology research, emphasizing its achievements in electronic payment systems, advisory platforms, and specialized laboratories. “The university has made remarkable contributions to scientific research and the FinTech sector in Iraq, earning prestigious academic awards and recognition as one of the best universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq,” he added.
