Graphic Design Department Organizes a Scientific Trip for Students to Whitespace Agency

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Head of the Graphic Design Department organized a scientific trip for second- and third-year students to Whitespace Agency in Erbil.

The trip, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Saja Abdul Hadi, was warmly received upon arrival by Mr Saad Salim, the Director of Whitespace Agency. After welcoming the students, Mr. Saad Salim delivered an informative presentation on the nature of graphic designers’ work within a creative professional environment. He explained the various stages of implementing design projects, from idea generation to production and final delivery.

In the second part of his talk, Mr. Salim elaborated on the work environment, professional experience, and the current job market requirements in graphic design and advertising. He encouraged students to make the most of their university years to enhance their skills and prepare themselves for a successful professional future.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Saja Abdul Hadi expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Saad Salim and Whitespace Agency for providing this valuable opportunity and for helping students gain insight into the real-world work environment of graphic design and advertising.
