Health Screening and Awareness Activity by Medical Biochemical Analysis Students at Cihan International Complex
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis organized and conducted a community health screening and awareness activity at the Cihan International Complex. The visit was carried out under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Lecturer Hawri Fatih, as part of the department’s efforts to enhance students’ practical skills and strengthen community engagement.
The students were warmly received by the school principal, Mr. Mahmod Imad, who praised the initiative and emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities and educational institutions in promoting public health awareness.
Throughout the activity, the students Salih Shwan Salih, Dalia Dler Mamand, and Fatima Nayif performed several essential medical tests, including blood group determination, random blood glucose testing, and blood pressure measurement. Each procedure was conducted in accordance with standard laboratory and clinical guidelines, with strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. The students also provided clear explanations to participants about the significance of these tests and how they contribute to the early detection of health risks such as diabetes and hypertension.
Beyond testing, the students offered practical health advice, highlighting the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, monitoring key health indicators, and seeking timely medical consultation when abnormalities are detected.
The activity reflected the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life settings and demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility toward community health.
