Huawei ICT Academy 10th Competition Held at Cihan University – Erbil

On Thursday, October 29, 2025, the 10th Huawei ICT Academy Competition was held at the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering at Cihan University – Erbil. The competition witnessed broad participation from students of both the Informatics and Software Engineering Department and the Computer Science Department, who took part in advanced technical exams designed to assess their skills and knowledge in networking, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

The event was organized under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Firas Mohammed Zaki, Director of Huawei Academy at Cihan University-Erbil, and Dr. Mardin Anwar, representative of Huawei Academy in the Kurdistan Region, in collaboration with the academic staff of the college. The purpose of this competition was to encourage students to enhance their technical and innovative abilities in line with the demands of both local and global job markets. It also aimed to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and Huawei in building digital capacity and empowering youth in the field of information and communication technology.

At the end of the event, Cihan University-Erbil expressed its appreciation for the efforts of Huawei Academy in supporting technical education and praised the outstanding performance of the participating students. The university reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that open new horizons for students in the world of modern technology.
