Informatics and Software Engineering Students Deliver Digital Safety Seminar at Cihan International School
On Sunday, February 15, 2026, fourth-year students from the Informatics and Software Engineering Department, including Yasmin Ahmed, Dania Osama, and Nourallah Fakhri, conducted an educational visit to Cihan International School under the supervision of Teaching Assistant Duaa Haider Mustafa. During the visit, the students delivered an awareness seminar on the correct and safe use of social media platforms. They explained how to identify and avoid security breaches, discussed the risks associated with social media, and outlined practical strategies to reduce those risks.
The seminar also addressed key topics aimed at strengthening digital awareness, highlighting the dangers of misusing social media and presenting best practices for positive and purposeful engagement.
The school students demonstrated strong interest and active engagement with the topics due to their relevance to everyday life. The session included productive discussions and many questions, reflecting the students’ eagerness to learn. The visiting delegation also met with several teachers, Nazar Abdul Satar Abdul Rahman and Shia Omar Mohammed, to exchange academic and educational ideas and to support future cooperation between the two institutions.
