Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialties to strengthen relations with Cihan University-Erbil
Cihan University-Erbil received a delegation from the Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialties to offer and promote mutual cooperation between them and to work together.
On Sunday, 12 March 2023, Prof Dr. Ariana Khalis Jawad Al-Barzanji, president of Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialists, along with a delegation arrived at Cihan University-Erbil. They were warmly welcomed by Pro. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil and Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger, Chairman of board of trustees – Cihan Universities
In a meeting, discussions were held on collaboration between the two organizations in the field of science in general and medicine in particular. They also considered holding conferences and joint workshops. In this regard, president of Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialists said: “In the next few months, a conference would be conducted under the supervision of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region and with the participation of several international, regional and local scientific and academic institutions.” She also added that the conference would tackle health problems in the public and private sectors in Kurdistan Region. To this purpose, it is requested that Cihan University-Erbil participate in the conference as a leading university with a prominent position to play an active role.
In this respect, prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi and Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger separately welcomed president of Kurdistan Higher Council of Medical Specialists, and talked over the importance of organizing health conferences. They emphasized the willingness of Cihan University-Erbil and all its scientific institutions of the Cihan Group to support holding conferences and workshops and to promote the conference with regards to logistics and science.
In another part of the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Maysoon Al-Haideri, the vice president of Cihan University-Erbil for scientific affairs, they discussed a number of scientific and medical issues.
