Law Department Students Raise Legal Awareness on Crime Scene and Criminal Law at Karay Private Secondary School

On Monday, January 25, 2026, a group of third- and fifth-year students from the Law Department organized an awareness activity titled ‘The Crime Scene’ at Karay Private Secondary School in Erbil. The students were warmly welcomed by the school principal, Ms. Khown Sabah Sabir.

The activity featured a performance that simulated several real-life crime scenarios, highlighting the critical role of the law in protecting evidence. The scenes were presented in a simplified, educational style suitable for the students’ age group, with a strong focus on moral values, human ethics, and the importance of respecting the law and public order.

After the presentation, the law students provided a simplified explanation of the Penal Code, clarifying different types of crimes and their legal penalties. They emphasized the importance of legal awareness in preventing misconduct and concluded the session by answering students’ questions and clarifying legal concepts relevant to their daily lives.

The initiative received strong engagement and praise from the school administration, faculty, and students for its positive impact.
