Meal and diet planning practical training activity for 3rd year students in Nutrition and Dietetics department
Based on the vision and the goals of Nutrition and Dietetics department in Cihan University/Erbil to prepare full knowledgeable students besides the improvement of their practical skills to adapt that science, the third stage students participated in training activity on 20th of April 2021 under the supervision of their lecturer Mrs. Raghad Jomard.
The activity included the planning of many regimes types and meals which are depending on the clients health state or on their intention either to gain or lose weight. In addition to other points such as the budget, how much money they are willing to spend on their meals.
The main goal of this practical training is to encourage the students to be familiar with the prices of food in local markets and make a comparison between the quality, size, and components of these products. Moreover, to know the prices of meals in restaurants of Erbil, and finally to learn the way to prepare food menus for hospitals, restaurants, airports and hotels under precise budgets.
