Media Department Students Conduct a Seminar for Students at the Runaki Institute for the Blind

Within the framework of its scientific activities, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, a group of fourth-stage students from the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a field visit to the Runaki Institute for the Blind under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dlan Ismail Mawlood. The visit aimed to deliver an awareness seminar for ninth-grade students at the institute.

Upon arrival, the Media Department students were warmly received by the institute’s administration. With the coordination and cooperation of the teachers, Ms. Gulan Issam and Mr. Osama Ibrahim, the students were then directed to the classrooms to begin the activity.

The seminar was presented by students Zina Ahmed Sharif, Ronida Idris, and Sara Haitham and focused on two main themes. The first addressed building self-confidence, discussing how students can face challenges with strong willpower and develop their abilities. The second theme focused on exam preparation, offering guidance on overcoming anxiety and effectively managing time to achieve the best possible results.

At the end of the activity, the administration of the Runaki Institute for the Blind expressed their sincere appreciation to the students and the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil for delivering this valuable seminar and expressed their hope that similar activities would continue in the future to further serve the students.
