Media Department Students Gain Field Experience with Duhok Television’s Work Style

To become familiar with the working style of local television channels, a group of Media Department students from Cihan University-Erbil, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, visited Duhok Television on Saturday, 8 November 2025.

The supervising lecturer and students were received by Mr. Bewar Salman, Director of Studios at Duhok Television, who expressed his pleasure at the students’ visit to the channel. During the visit, he discussed the importance of local television channels in serving and educating society and highlighted the remarkable and creative work the station has achieved by designing and establishing several different studios within a limited space.

The students later toured the channel’s control room and became familiar with the methods of live and recorded broadcasting. Then, Ibrahim Rajab, an employee of the Social Media Department at Duhok Television, emphasized the use of social media platforms as a tool to convey the channel’s messages and content to a wider audience, enabling the station to serve society more effectively.

Finally, on behalf of the Media Department, the supervising lecturer thanked the officials of Duhok Television for providing Cihan University-Erbil’s Media Department students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the channel’s media operations.
