Media Department Students Launch Water Conservation Awareness Campaign at Sami Abdulrahman Park

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, a group of students from the Department of Media at Cihan University–Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, conducted an awareness campaign on water conservation titled “God granted us water to live, not to waste” at Sami Abdulrahman Park.

The campaign was carried out by fourth-stage students Ahmed Mohammed, Ahmed Mahdi, Shayma Hakim, and Ranj Abdulrahman. During the activity, the students distributed brochures to visitors in the park. Through these materials, they highlighted the importance of protecting water resources and provided practical guidelines and steps to help citizens reduce water wastage in their daily lives. The brochures specifically emphasized the importance of water as the lifeline of existence and outlined the risks associated with the depletion of water sources.

Visitors responded positively to the campaign, recognizing its significance, especially at a time when the scarcity of clean drinking water is an increasing concern. They stressed the importance of expanding awareness efforts to help safeguard water resources and ensure the well-being of future generations.
