Media Department Students Participate in the Book Launch of Historian (Muhammad Amin Zaki Beg)

On Monday, February 23, 2026, a group of students from the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil participated in the introduction and launch ceremony of a work dedicated to the great Kurdish thinker and historian (Muhammad Amin Zaki Beg), held at the Cultural Center hall of Salahaddin University-Erbil.

The three Media Department students—(Aso Ali Faraj) four stage, (Sarkar Hussein Hamad, and Omar Ghalib Abdul-Latif) Third Stage—attended the ceremony for the book titled “The Great Kurdish Thinker and Historian Muhammad Amin Zaki Beg.” The event was held under the auspices of the President of Salahaddin University and organized by the Department of History at the College of Arts, in collaboration with the University’s Cultural and Academic Center.

The book is authored by (Dr. Sabah Ghalib). During the ceremony, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Kakasur, Dr. Nejati Abdullah, and Shwan Muhammad Amin provided readings and introductions to the book, expressing their hope that this publication would further enrich the history of the Kurdish nation. For their part, the Media Department students stated that attending such ceremonies is a vital opportunity to learn about the lives and contributions of historical Kurdish figures. They emphasized that this experience serves as a foundation for them as future media professionals to preserve and promote national history and identity through media platforms in a scientific and accurate manner.

The participation of the Media Department students in this activity is part of the department’s strategic plan to further expose students to academic and cultural centers outside the university. This aim is to enhance their intellectual and cultural knowledge and to build bridges of communication with experts and specialists in various fields.
