Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Delivered a Seminar on Artificial Intelligence to Secondary School Students

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, a group of fourth-year students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis at Cihan University-Erbil visited Nolifur Secondary School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Jawdat. The students were warmly received by Ms. Dlin Abdulkareem, the English teacher at that school.

They delivered an educational seminar on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and medicine. The seminar, which was designed for secondary school students, focused on how AI is transforming education and healthcare. They explained the pivotal roles of AI in smart learning applications, virtual tutors, voice recognition, medical diagnosis, robotic surgery, and drug discovery. Engaging examples, such as AI-powered language assistants, health monitoring apps, and robotics in medicine were also provided to make the seminar more relevant and exciting for young learners.

During the seminar, the school students showed great enthusiasm, actively participated in discussions, and asked curious questions about AI such as how AI works, its impact on daily life, and its future potential.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore modern technology excitingly and interactively, reflecting Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to education and community engagement.
