Medical Microbiology Department Students Participated in the Peace Health Conference to Raise Awareness of Breast Cancer
On 2 October 2022, a group of second-year students from the Department of Medical Microbiology of Cihan University-Erbil participated in a scientific symposium held by the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan region of Iraq on breast cancer.
The aim of the aforementioned symposium was to increase public awareness of this disease, its treatment and preventive methods, and early diagnosis. The symposium provided comprehensive information about the methods of early detection of this disease and how to prevent it through the review of specialized doctors. It ended with a number of recommendations being provided, including holding more educational seminars and workshops on this type of cancer and encouraging women to have regular check-ups.
