Medical Microbiology Students Participate in the 8th Excellent Paper Scientific Symposium

On 22 December 2025, a group of fourth-year students from the Medical Microbiology Department at Cihan University–Erbil participated in the 8th Excellent Paper Scientific Symposium, held in Halabja, Kurdistan. The event was organized under the supervision of the Governorate of Halabja, in collaboration with the Rwanga Foundation and the K-Scien Organization. The symposium was attended by prominent academic figures, researchers, and officials, including the Excellency Governor Miss Nuqsha Nasih, highlighting its scientific and governmental significance.

The symposium focused on recognizing and reviewing high-impact scientific research. Selected excellent papers were evaluated using a global scientific evaluation system that has reviewed more than 4.6 million research papers worldwide, with rankings based on citation index, research influence, and academic quality. This process emphasized the international standards used to assess research excellence and scientific contribution.

During the symposium sessions, the participating students attended scientific discussions, observed presentations of highly ranked research papers, and interacted with experts from various disciplines. The event provided valuable exposure to current scientific trends and enhanced students’ understanding of how impactful research is evaluated at the global level.
