Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi President of Cihan University-Erbil Visits Howler Medical University to Discuss Academic Collaboration
On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, a high-level delegation from Cihan University-Erbil, led by Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of the University, visited Howler Medical University (HMU) to strengthen scientific ties and extend congratulations on the appointment of the new university leadership. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Dabbagh, President of Howler Medical University.
The delegation from Cihan University-Erbil included Prof. Dr. Ayad Hazim, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdulkarim, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Dabbagh on his new position as President of HMU, wishing him success in his mission to serve the higher education sector and the medical field in the Kurdistan Region.
In response, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Dabbagh welcomed the delegation, leading to a comprehensive discussion on various key academic pillars. Both parties emphasized the importance of conducting joint scientific research between the faculties of both universities, particularly in medical and health sciences, to elevate academic standards and serve the community. Discussions also focused on faculty exchange programs, the utilization of advanced laboratory facilities for student clinical training, and the organization of joint international scientific conferences involving corresponding specialized colleges from both institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrazzaq Dabbagh expressed his gratitude for the delegation’s visit.
