Organizing a Scientific Visit to Al-Ehsan Company by the Department of Business Administration
On 10th of May 2021, the Department of Business Administration organized a scientific visit for first-year students to Al-Ehsan Company for General Trade and Foodstuff. Al-Ehsan Company is one of the specialized companies that has many branches across Iraq and specialized in importing foodstuffs and household items from outside of Iraq.
At the beginning of the visit, the Executive Director, Yahya Zidan Bakr illustrated the buying and selling strategies that are used by companies and attracting the customers and convincing them to buy high quality products in comparison with flooding the market with products of poor quality and low prices. He also explained the methods used by companies to satisfy the customers and bring them to the state of absolute loyalty to the products of a certain company and to convince the customer of the necessity of buying higher-quality products. He mentioned the importance of public relations in marketing for the products and the role of company representatives in persuading the largest number of customers to make the purchase decision.
The students ended their visit by a tour around the company’s warehouse and receiving some explanation on the importance of storing materials in a way that guarantees product quality. They learned about the difference between cold storage warehouses and ambient storage ones and the effects of high temperatures and their damages in reducing the quality of certain products and consequently reducing customer’s confidence and satisfaction with the company’s products. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Bushra Ali and Assistant Lecturer Suhair Saadaldeen.
