My name is Harikumar Variampally Sankar. I am a Professor (Full) with a PhD Degree in Microbiology, teaching in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at Cihan University Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. I have a BSc Degree in Botany, MSc Degree in Botany, MPhil degree in Applied Botany (Microbiology) and PhD Degree in Microbiology.

I have 29 years of teaching experience to undergraduate and graduate programs of various Universities and have 30 years of research experience including 21 years of post-doctoral experience evidenced by publications extending to 32 full length peer reviewed research papers, 17 conference presentations, 4 book chapters, 4 books and 4 popular articles. I have guided 4 PhD students and served as examiner for Masters and Doctoral programs of various Universities.

I am a member of various academic and professional bodies and acted as a reviewer of Wiley, Tailor and Francis, Elsevier and American Society of Agronomy Journals.
