Pharmacy Students Deliver Hands-On Medical Seminar for Students at Hawler High School
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, in a proactive effort to bridge academic study and community service, a delegation of students from the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a comprehensive medical seminar for 12th-grade students at Hawler High School.
The event took place under the direct supervision of Lab Assistant Ms. Aya Qaisar. The students warmly welcomed by Ms.Suha Jamal one of the teacher of the school, Representing a collaborative effort between a Mixed students (Yusif Ali, Yusif sharhabil and Shana Karim) from stage four and (Nasrin Khalid )from stage three of college of pharmacy.
To bring theory into practice, the university students set up interactive workstations where they performed live blood-typing demonstrations for high school students who were previously unaware of their blood groups. This hands-on approach helped the pupils understand the biological foundations of blood groups in real time.
In addition, the delegation demonstrated chemical titration techniques using professional laboratory equipment and reagents. They explained the underlying chemical equations in detail, giving the 12th graders a clear view of how classroom formulas are applied in real laboratory settings.
The seminar was met with enthusiasm and active participation from the high school students, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn directly from university peers.
