Physiotherapy Department Students Conduct Academic Field Visit to Arzheen Hospital
On Tuesday, 25 November, the third-grade Physiotherapy students conducted an academic field visit to Arzheen Hospital. The visit was supervised by Mrs. Parween Askandar, who ensured that the students received proper guidance throughout the educational program.
Upon arrival, the group was warmly received by physiotherapist Aya Wyshyar from the hospital staff. Throughout the tour, the students were introduced to various physiotherapy departments, including outpatient rehabilitation, musculoskeletal therapy, and neurological physiotherapy units. They observed patient assessment procedures, treatment planning, and the use of therapeutic modalities such as electrotherapy, exercise therapy, and manual techniques.
The visit also included practical demonstrations, discussions with physiotherapists, and observation of patient–therapist interactions. By the end of the visit, the students gained a deeper understanding of clinical physiotherapy practice. They strengthened their observational skills, learned how treatment decisions are made, and became familiar with common rehabilitation procedures used in real clinical settings.
The experience enhanced their confidence, improved their clinical reasoning skills, and prepared them for upcoming practical training in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
