Physiotherapy Department Students Visit PhysioLife Center
On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, second-stage Physiotherapy Department students conducted a scientific field visit to PhysioLife Centre under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Parween Askandar.
The visit was organized as an integral component of the clinical training program to strengthen students’ practical competencies and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world rehabilitation practice. The students were warmly received by physiotherapist Aryan Adnan Ali, who provided a comprehensive orientation outlining the center’s clinical services, multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach, and the implementation of advanced therapeutic technologies.
Throughout the visit, the students observed the clinical application of several modern physiotherapy modalities, including electrotherapy techniques, such as Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and neuromuscular electrical stimulation, robotic-assisted rehabilitation systems, magnetic therapy devices, therapeutic ultrasound, mechanical traction units, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Detailed explanations were provided regarding the physiological mechanisms of action, therapeutic indications and contraindications, safety considerations, and individualized treatment planning associated with each modality.
This visit enabled students to critically evaluate clinical decision-making processes and appreciate the integration of advanced technology within evidence-based rehabilitation practice.
