Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi Participates in the Third International Conference on Strategic Awareness and Governance
Under the patronage of the General Secretary of the Association of Arab Universities, his Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salameh, and in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Middle East University, the General Secretary of the Arab Universities Governance Council, Dr. Yaqoub Adel Nasser Al-Din, and the Director of the Arab Universities Governance Council, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Heila, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President Cihan University – Erbil ,the Third International Conference on Strategic Awareness and Governance was held over two days from 6-7 December 2021 at the Middle East University – Jordan.
The conference was opened with a speech by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Heila, head of the preparatory committee for the conference. He explained that the scientific conference committees received 85 papers in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. After reviewing the papers 54 papers were accepted according to the pivots of the conference.
This was followed by Dr. Yaqoub Adel Nasser Al-Din’s speech, where he welcomed the conference’s guests, saying that the conference aims to deepen knowledge of the contents of strategic awareness and governance practices in Arab universities, in addition to disseminating strategies of partnership and sound investment in a way that enables business organizations and institutions to adopt a unified Arab entrepreneurial identity.
In a related context, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salameh expressed his admiration for the university, saying that it plays its national and Arab role in a distinguished and pioneering manner, thanking Dr. Nasser El-Din for hosting the conference, especially since governance is an effective tool for improving the quality of higher education.
For his part, the member of the conference’s Supreme Committee, Prof. Ahmed Ashour, he stressed the university’s success in creating an environmentally friendly and sustainable climate, as the use of solar energy and self-generation of water in it is very impressive, adding that the features of rational and distinguished governance can be easily observed in the university’s facilities.
The pivots of the conference focus on crisis and risk management, digital capital management, the ethical perspective of the responsibility of community organizations, and blended education in light of the mutating pandemic.
