QADAM KHAIR SCHOOL VISITED THE DEPARTMENT OF LAW, CIHAN UNIVERSITY-ERBIL

A group of students together with their teachers from Qadam Khair School visited the Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil on 15 March 2022. They were warmly welcomed by the Head of the aforementioned department, Dr. Omar Zubair Zahir. The objective of the visit was to introduce the students to the Law Department and university life. For instance; Dr. Omar explained to the students the colleges at Cihan University-Erbil including the College of Law, admission requirements, and how to study there.

Dr. Omar then clarified that the law field is not purely theoretical science, however, it also involves practical knowledge such as; working in the judiciary whether as a judge, lawyer, employee, and many more.

The students were also informed about their future careers if they choose to study in this field. Dr. Omar added that there is a wide scope of job opportunities for law graduates in the government as well as the private sector. In the public sector, they can work as a government employee while they can work as a lawyer and at companies in the private sector.

Finally, he emphasized the importance of having a good command of Arabic, Kurdish and English language in this field, as they are very much required in legal life. This visit was followed by a question-and-answer session between him and the students. He wished the students always with success in their studies.
