On Thursday, February 26, 2026, first-year female students carried out an awareness activity at Ranj Private School, targeting primary school pupils under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Omar Adil Mohammed Ali, Head of the Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies.
The students were received by teacher Hardi Karki, who expressed his appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of fostering environmental awareness among children at an early educational stage. The activity centered on a short story written in simple language and presented through engaging events that highlighted the importance of protecting the environment, water resources, and living organisms. The students divided the storytelling roles among themselves, with each presenting a specific part.
Student Amal Abdulrahim Shindo began by introducing the concept of the environment and its importance in daily life. She explained the relationship between humans and nature and stressed the necessity of preserving it. Next, student Taybah Subhi Ali addressed the issue of water pollution, explaining how waste and litter negatively affect rivers and lakes and harm fish and other aquatic organisms. She presented this section in a storytelling style appropriate for children.
Finally, student Shanel Sardar Hassan concluded the story by presenting positive solutions and responsible behaviors, such as avoiding littering in water sources, participating in environmental clean-up activities, and conserving resources. She emphasized that every child plays an important role in protecting the environment.
