Scientific Site Visit to Asko Village by Interior Design Engineering Students

On Monday, September 21, 2026, a group of second-year students from the Department of Interior Design Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific field visit to Asko Village as part of the Interior Design course.

The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed. The students were officially received by Mr. Ali Omar Ali, Engineering Staff at Asko Village.

During the visit, Mr. Ali Omar Ali introduced the students to the general organization of the villas and explained the functional arrangement of the residential spaces, circulation, and relationship between the different areas. He also provided practical information about the design and use of residential spaces.

He also explained the interior design aspects related to the course, focusing on functional planning, spatial organization, circulation, and the relationship between interior spaces and residential requirements, connecting the students’ practical observations with their academic studies.

The visit provided the students with valuable field experience to support their residential interior design projects .
