Scientific visit for the first-year students of the Biomedical Sciences Department to Hawler Medical University

The Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Sciences at Cihan University-Erbil paid a scientific visit for the first-year students to the Anatomy Department, College of Medicine, Hawler Medical University on Sunday 25/4/2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mirza Hamza Hammadi and Mr. Sirwan Ahmed Rashid. The students were briefed on the anatomy laboratories of the faculty, and the professors gave practical presentations, followed by discussion and answers to the students’ questions and inquiries.

Practical lectures were also given using some cadavers and the so-called regional anatomy was identified for different parts of the body. After that, a systemic anatomy was presented using real bodies with a special focus on the skeletal, muscular, vascular, urinary, reproductive, and the digestive system. The lecture lasted for about an hour and a half.

After that, the students and their supervisors visited the Anatomy Museum of the university wherein  all parts of the human body were identified through plastic models. Many questions were raised by the visiting students, and the specialized professors answered them in detail. The visit to the museum took about one hour.
