Students from the Department of General Education Participate in the World Statistics Day Symposium 2025
On Monday, October 20, 2025, a group of 3rd-stage students from the Department of General Education attended the World Statistics Day Symposium 2025, held at the Paytakht Technical Institute (PTI) in collaboration with the Sard Organization for Society Support (SOSS).
The symposium, titled ‘World Statistics Day Symposium – 2025,’ focused on the vital role of statistics and artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping modern society and advancing data-driven research. The event featured a series of keynote speeches and panel discussions exploring topics such as Beyond Algorithms: How Statistical Thinking Shapes Artificial Intelligence, The Power and Impact of Statistics in Society, and The Future of Statistics with Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The attending students (Shewar Rushdy, Karez Abubakr, Ayoob Ali, Sarya Adel, Berivan Muhsin, and Rayan Essa) engaged in the panel and gained valuable insights into the intersection of statistics, AI, and data science. Their participation in this event provided an excellent opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, especially since these topics are part of their current curriculum and will play a key role in their graduation projects during the 4th stage.
