Students from the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations Visit the Qatari Consulate in Kurdistan

The Department of International and Diplomatic Relations organized a visit to the Qatari Consulate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq for a group of second-year students, under the supervision of Dr. Rashid Mikael Mohammed.

During this visit on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Dr. Rashid congratulated the Consular Affairs Officer, Mr. Hussein Mohammed Al-Kubisi, and highlighted that Cihan University-Erbil is the leading private university in the region, offering 30 scientific specialties for students, including international relations and diplomacy.

Mr. Hussein Mohammed Al-Kubaisi, the Chargé d’Affaires, later welcomed them and emphasized the importance of communication and relations, particularly in the fields of culture and science.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Rashid Mikael presented Mr. Hussein Mohammed with a gift from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, which included a copy of Atlas of Kurdistan by Dr. Nawzad Bajkar. Dr. Rashid then extended an invitation to Mr. Hussein to deliver a lecture on diplomatic work to the students of the Department of International Relations at Cihan University-Erbil. Mr. Hussein accepted the invitation.
