Students from the Departments of English Language and Computer Science Depart for Poland Under Academic Exchange Program
In line with international academic exchange programs and strategic partnerships between Cihan University–Erbil and global educational institutions, a new group of students departed from Erbil International Airport on Saturday evening, February 21, 2026, to Poland to complete an academic semester.
This exchange forms part of the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Cihan University–Erbil and University of Lodz for the 2025–2026 academic year. The cohort includes Al-Ayham Salahaddin Basil, a third-year student from the Department of English Language, and Aland Sherzad Ibrahim, a second-year student from the Department of Computer Science.
Prior to their departure, the students and their families met with Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University–Erbil, who provided them with essential academic and cultural guidance. He emphasized their role as ambassadors of the university and the Kurdistan Region, encouraging them to excel academically and actively engage in the international academic environment.
The students have safely arrived in Poland and are scheduled to commence their academic courses at University of Lodz in the coming days. This program offers a valuable opportunity to enhance their professional competencies and gain exposure to advanced European educational standards.
