On Monday, October 5, 2026, fourth-year students from the Departments of Public Administration and Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil conducted an educational scientific visit to the Erbil Traffic Directorate.

 The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with practical administrative applications in public sector governance. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Mr. Rzgar Ramazan Othman, a staff officer, who provided an overview of the directorate’s organizational structure, public service workflows, and main operational responsibilities. He explained that the directorate comprises several key administrative units, including the Reception and Services Section, the Outgoing and Incoming Mail Section, Employee Administration, the Wireless Communications Section, and the Directorate Headquarters.

During the visit, the students gained practical insights into the use of a specialized internal software system called ID, developed by the Ministry of Interior. They observed how the system streamlines internal operations, manages driver and vehicle records, processes citizens’ transactions, and improves daily workflows within the directorate.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their sincere gratitude to the directorate’s staff for their warm hospitality and valuable insights.
