Students from the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department Secure Well-Deserved Victory over the Media Department in Second Match of Cihan University–Erbil’s Internal Volleyball Championship

As part of the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department’s ongoing sports activities focused on enhancing students’ physical and mental abilities, the university’s sports hall hosted a volleyball match on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The match was held under the supervision of the University Presidency and the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences.

The Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department team dominated the match, winning in straight sets with scores of 25–18, 25–15, and 25–20.

Although there was a noticeable technical difference between the two teams, the Media Department players showed strong determination and competitive spirit, forcing the opposing coach to adjust the match plan and make several lineup changes, especially in the third set, where the Media Department team came close to gaining the upper hand. However, the tactical discipline and consistency of the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department team enabled them to secure both the set and the match.

It is worth noting that the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department team is now preparing for the upcoming fifth match, which is scheduled against the teams from the Microbiology and Law Departments.
