Students of the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil Provide Clothing for an Orphanage
On Wednesday, January 4, 2026, students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil provided clothing for an orphanage. As part of their sense of social responsibility, the department organized a humanitarian activity for the orphanage with the participation of fourth-year students.
The activity was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Pirdawood, Head of the Department of Business Administration, and coordinated by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. This initiative was carried out within the department’s efforts to strengthen community participation and social responsibility among students.
The students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Kwesta N. Mohammad during the visit. During the activity, the participating students distributed clothes to the children at the orphanage, which brought happiness and joy to them. This initiative aimed to support the children during the winter season by providing essential items that help protect them from the cold weather. The distribution process was carried out in an organized and respectful manner.
The main goal of this activity was to offer humanitarian assistance to the children of the orphanage, while at the same time promoting values of empathy, cooperation, and voluntary service among the students. The activity also sought to raise awareness among students and the wider community about the importance of active participation in community development. Through direct involvement, students were able to apply the principles of social responsibility in a practical and meaningful way.

It also emphasized the positive role that students and lecturers can play in supporting this group in the community. At the end of the visit, the staff of the orphanage expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the supervising lecturer and the students for their support. In return, the supervising lecturer praised the noble efforts of the orphanage staff and reaffirmed that the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil will continue to organize similar social activities that serve the community.
