Team Skill Up 6th on Kurdistan
(Solving World’s Toughest Problems) with this slogan, Microsoft has announced its 10 years old world-wide and 2 years old in Kurdistan students exclusive competition Imagine Cup 2012. After a 5 months preparation and very hard work, Cihan University represented by team Skill Up reached 6th place on Kurdistan’s Microsoft Imagine Cup 2012.
Among 50 teams who have participated in this year’s competition, Cihan University was represented by 13 students who made up 5 teams (Graduates, Green World, Skill Up, Storm and United). All of which were up to the challenge. They were able to bring out the most challenging ideas to solve real world problems.
Such a competition is a good chance for students to socialize, know other students and discover new possibilities to their ideas. Also, it brought the sense of responsibility, commitment and the good skills out of the students. At the presentations, our students have received a great feedback where the expert judging panel have said that most of them have promising future a head and advised to further develop their projects. During the two days event, Microsoft has done some gaming and Q&A competitions between the participated teams; and our students have fairly won most of the prizes.
At last, I would like to congratulate our students for their effort and especially team Skill Up, I am sure you are going to have a bright future, wish you the best of luck and to all our students.
