The 7th Scientific Conference on Outstanding Graduate Projects Presented Several Research Papers in the Fields of Administrative and Financial Sciences
On Monday, April 28, 2025, during the Seventh Scientific Conference on Outstanding Graduate Projects, a special session was held in the academic hall dedicated to the presentation of outstanding graduate projects. Ten papers were presented by students from various departments, including Accounting, Business Administration, and Public Administration. This session was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Qusay Hamid Al-Salami and Dr. Muslim Najib Zidane. The conference was attended by organizers, researchers, faculty members, and guests.
At the beginning of the session, fourth-year students from the Department of Accounting presented their research. Yasir Hayder Fadhil, Ahmed Ali Mohammed, Aram Ayad Jabbar, and Abdullah Saadoun Mohsen presented a study entitled “The Effect of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Future of the Accounting and Auditing Professions,” supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. They discussed the importance and impact of artificial intelligence on accounting and auditing, highlighting how AI automates functions, enhances data audits, improves analysis, and supports decision-making.
Next, students Gashbin Kamaran Saadi, Sedra Sartip Asaad, Shene Shorsh Ali, and Tajaldin Alaldin Taha presented their research titled “Acceptance and Usage of ChatGPT among Accounting and Financial Students in Private Universities,” supervised by Dr. Twana Tahseen Sulaiman. They explained how ChatGPT can assist students in performing their academic tasks.
In the part of the session dedicated to the Department of Business Administration, fourth-year students presented their research. Omar Adel Abbas, Omar Raid Abdulqader, Abdullah Khalid Mahmood, and Zainab Mohammed Khawam presented a study titled “The Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques on the Effectiveness of Administrative Decisions at Cihan University-Erbil,” supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawod. They explained how the use of AI techniques improves the quality and impact of administrative decisions at Cihan University-Erbil.
Following this, student Abdullah Sarbast Abdullah presented his research titled “The Nexus of Reverse Logistics on Customer Satisfaction,” supervised by Dr. Aram Hana Massoudi. He discussed how the return of products by customers and their recovery by companies positively influences future customer purchasing decisions.
Then, students Dalya Jamal Ahmad, Diya Delshad Hamaali, Miran Sabir Mamand, and Salim Ibrahim Azeez presented their study titled “The Reality of Using Artificial Intelligence in Human Resources Management, Its Obstacles and Requirements at Cihan University-Erbil,” supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawod. They addressed ways to enhance AI integration and identified obstacles hindering its implementation.
Next, students Bilal Ramadan Mustafa, Ashkan Jabbar Abdullah, Sivan Faraidoon Khalid, Zainab Helme Saeed, and Zainab Nawzad Berbal presented their research titled “The Impact of Organizational Ethics and Job Satisfaction,” supervised by Dr. Sahar Jalal Fatah. They highlighted how ethical practices influence employee satisfaction and approval in the workplace.
During the session, students Hazar Kazim Ali, Chyaban Ayoob Muhammed, Khalat Hiwa Burhan, and Fatima Amer Jabbar presented their research titled “The Contribution of Administrative Development in Improving Work Performance: A Case Study on Cihan University-Erbil,” supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawod. They demonstrated how administrative development affects employee performance.
Afterward, students Kastro Aso Mohammed, Husen Nihad Aziz, Jwtyar Haider Mustafa, and Ahmed Salim Saeed presented their study titled “The Impact of Transactional and Transformational Leadership on Employee Motivation,” supervised by Assistant Lecturer Nasih Mohammed Kaka. They discussed how different leadership styles influence employee motivation in the workplace.
Subsequently, students Vana Ziyad Berbal, Mohabat Nazar Mekaeel, Dilzheen Abdal Wasman, and Rayan Fatah Abdullah presented their research titled “The Role of Financial Accounting in Strategic Business Decision-Making,” supervised by Assistant Lecturer Dlovan Wirya Hamadameen. They explained how financial accounting supports decision-making and strategic planning.
In another part of the session, dedicated to fourth-year students of the Department of Public Administration, students Jwan Jabbar Jawhar, Shvan Jalil Raheem, Haydar Mawlood Hussein, and Chawan Chabok Mohammed presented their research titled “The Influence of Strategic Leadership on Knowledge Management,” supervised by Dr. Muslim Najib Zidane. They explained how strategic leadership affects the creation and sharing of knowledge within organizations.
At the end of the session, the discussion focused on the outstanding graduate projects in the fields of administrative and financial sciences at the Seventh Scientific Conference. Several questions were raised by the audience, and the researchers provided insightful answers. The session concluded successfully.
