The College of Dentistry Students Visit Medicano Private Hospital

On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, third-stage College of Dentistry students from Cihan University-Erbil participated in a scientific visit to Medicano Private Hospital, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Khalid Al-Shehabi and Bahoz Himdad Majeed. The purpose of the visit was to enhance the students’ understanding of hospital departments, patient admission procedures, and surgical preparation, as well as to explore key medical units such as the operational theater, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and anesthesia section.

The visit was organized in coordination with Dr. Hunar Mustafa Khidir, the hospital manager, and guided by Ms. Sahar Ahmad Qadir, the directing manager of services. During the visit, students had the opportunity to visit post-surgical patients and gain insights into the recovery process.

The most in-depth part of the visit took place in the operational theater, where students explored various sections, surgical instruments, and medical equipment. Additionally, the nursing staff provided a briefing regarding a critical case in the ICU.

This educational tour provided students with practical knowledge of hospital operations and surgical practices, offering a hands-on learning experience that complemented their academic studies.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturers Khalid Al-Shehabi and Bahoz Himdad Majeed expressed their gratitude to Dr. Hunar Mustafa Khidir for his support and assistance to the students.
