The Department of Anesthesia Techniques Organized a Workshop on Electrocardiography
On Wednesday, May 22, 2025, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Cihan University – Erbil organized a workshop titled, Inside Electrocardiography Uncovering the Heart’s Electrical Fingerprint.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Zeenat Sheikh, a renowned lecturer known for her expertise in cardiac physiology and ECG analysis. The session aimed to provide students and participants with a comprehensive understanding of the heart’s electrical activity and methods for interpreting it using modern electrocardiographic techniques.
The event was attended by Dr. Ayad Hazim Hasan, Vice President for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Muhsin Al-Ghazzi, Head of the Department of Anesthesia Techniques; Dr. Qaiss Burhan Abbas Al-Jumaili, Dean of the College of Dentistry; along with a distinguished group of department heads, faculty members from medical disciplines, healthcare professionals, and numerous students from scientific departments.
During the workshop, Dr. Zeenat delivered an in-depth explanation on how to read and interpret ECGs, emphasizing the detection of cardiac disorders and the clinical significance of various ECG patterns. The session stood out for its interactive nature, featuring real-life examples and educational clinical cases that offered participants a practical and enriching learning experience.
