The Department of Architectural Engineering Member Participates in an Enterprise Exchange Meeting and Technical Visit to the Fuzhou Nanhu Intelligent Construction Site

On 14 July 2026, Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil participated in an Enterprise Exchange Meeting and a technical visit to the Fuzhou Nanhu Intelligent Construction Site Pilot Project in Fuzhou, China, as part of the ‘Development of the Intelligent Construction Industry for Belt and Road Countries’ training program organized under the China Aid Program.
The visit began with an Enterprise Exchange Meeting hosted by the project management team and attended by Mr. Josef Cheng. During the meeting, the participant exchanged knowledge with company representatives and learned about the latest innovations in intelligent construction and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in construction project management. The discussions highlighted the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) inspections, digital monitoring platforms, intelligent safety and quality management systems, real-time data analysis, and other smart technologies that improve construction efficiency, sustainability, and project performance.
Following the meeting, Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed visited the Fuzhou Nanhu Intelligent Construction Site Pilot Project, where she observed the practical implementation of AI-driven construction technologies.
The technical site tour demonstrated the integration of intelligent monitoring systems, automated construction processes, digital project management platforms, and UAV-assisted inspections, providing valuable insights into modern construction management and innovative engineering practices.
