The Department of Business Administration Organizes a Scientific Visit to Korek Telecom Company

On 23-11-2021 Business Administration Department at Cihan University- Erbil organized a scientific visit to Korek Telecom company for mobile operation in Erbil/Iraq, the visit was supervised by the Assistant Lecturer Bushra Ali Zainal and Lecturer Dr. Qusay Hameed Al-salami.

         Korek Telecom is a shared limited company registered in Iraq to operate and provide GSM services. Korek started operating in Iraq in year 2000, notably in the north of Iraq, On August 17th, 2007 Korek was awarded a nationwide mobile license and Korek is now covering a total population of more than 32 million inhabitants.

         The visit was divided into two discussion panels. The first one was presented by Mazin Sirwan Saber the company’s marketing manager who clarified the decisive marketing strategies by Korek Telecom and guiding their marketing campaigns by region which can increase the pervasiveness of the company, in addition to illustrating the difference between the services in different geographical areas in Iraq.

         The second discussion panel was presented by the Human Resource manager (Aram Mahmoud Khedir) who illustrated the importance of building powerful resume by adding a cover letter, skills, training, in addition to discussing the crucial tips and tricks in hiring interviews relating to style, conversation toning, and learning the art of responding to job interview’s tricky questions.
