The Department of Community Health Nursing: A Pioneer of Volunteerism

As a continuous and usual activity of the Department of Community Health Nursing, several food baskets were distributed to desperate, needy people and vulnerable families in conjunction with this holy month of Ramadhan. This charity activity was held under the motto ‘The giver is indeed a benefactor’.

Khalat Ali, a second-stage student of the Community Health Nursing Department, distributed the food baskets to the vulnerable and needy people under the supervision of her Head of Department, Mr. Sarwan Wasman.

Fortunately, this activity involved visiting a total of 20, 25, and 30 families in Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaimaniya, respectively. This activity aims to reach out to all those who require help during the holy month of Ramadhan. Since this activity also tends to give a sense of happiness to these families and vary their daily dishes, Zakat money was donated to them as a charity to meet the basic needs of these people and their children for the upcoming Eid.
