The Department of General Education organized a scientific trip to Macos Institute

On May 10, 2023, the Department of General Education organized a scientific visit to the Macos Institute in Erbil, with participation from first-stage students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rozhvin Adnan Rasheed and Assistant Lecturer Rozhan Ali Khdir. The primary purpose of this visit was to acquaint students with current approaches and methodologies in language learning and to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the workforce.

Upon arrival, the teachers and students were welcomed by Awa Jawad Abdulqadir, the manager of the Institute, who subsequently provided an overview of the Institute and the various methods and techniques employed for teaching the English language. Following this introduction, Miss Jamila Abdulwajd Ahmed presented a seminar on “The Importance of Setting Goals in Language Learning,” which generated an engaging discussion among the students who were encouraged to pose questions and exchange ideas on the topic.

To conclude, the supervising teachers extended their gratitude to the management and teaching staff of the Macos Institute for their valuable insights and the time dedicated to the visit.
