The Department of Informatics and Software Engineering Organizes a Scientific Visit to HUB MAKERS
On October 1, 2025, the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering organized a scientific visit to HUB MAKERS Erbil with the participation of 20 fourth-year students, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Adel Hussein Mohammed.
The students were warmly received by Engineer Mohammed Al-Asadi, the center’s director, who expressed his delight in hosting them. During the tour, he presented the center’s capabilities and work mechanisms, providing a detailed explanation of several prototypes and projects developed at the center. These included embedded systems (hardware + software), various types of robots, smart home technologies, as well as the production of spare parts using 3D printers, resin printing devices, CNC machines for engraving and decoration, and laser cutting machines. The students were also introduced to the PCB assembly workstation and several environmental projects that incorporate modern technologies and artificial intelligence applications.
The visit was marked by the students’ strong interest and active engagement with the technologies presented. Their discussions were positive and insightful, reflecting their advanced academic level. Toward the end of the visit, an interactive Q&A session was held, allowing the students to exchange ideas and scientific perspectives.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the center’s administration for the warm reception and hospitality. In turn, Engineer Mohammed Al-Asadi offered special support packages for the students’ graduation projects, aiming to help promote them in the local market in the future.
