The Department of Law Holds a Workshop Entitled “The Legal Basis of the Election System in Iraq”

The Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil organized a workshop entitled (The Legal Basis of the Election System in Iraq) on Monday and Tuesday 29^th and 30^th of November 2021.

 The workshop aimed to discuss a number of issues related to the legal basis of the election system  In Iraq, clarifying the criteria that should be relied upon to formulate the election system, the suitability of the parties’ law to the election law, the reasons for early elections and the dissolution of the legislative authority, the extent to which early elections affect the formation of the government and the advantages and disadvantages of early elections, through a series of lectures included in the workshop and presented through two-day workshop by the lecturers of the Department of the Law at Cihan University-Erbil.

 At the end of the workshop, the participants contributed by their observations and discussions on the topics that were presented.
