The Department of Media at Cihan University- Erbil Visit Al-Mutanabbi Street in a Cultural Educational Tour
On Friday, February 7, 2025, a delegation from the Department of Media at Cihan University-Erbil conducted a field visit to Al-Mutanabbi Street, the cultural and literary heart of Baghdad. The delegation was led by Assistant Lecturer Azwar Mehdi Qasim Agha, Head of the Department of Media, accompanied by Assistant Lecturer Omar Hassan Fahmi and a group of students. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between academia and the local cultural scene.
The visit included a tour of the historic street, recognized as one of Iraq’s most prominent cultural and historical landmarks. The delegation explored various libraries and observed visitors engaging with literary events that regularly take place there. They also engaged in discussions with library owners and intellectuals on potential avenues for collaboration, particularly in publishing and cultural media.
