This course aims to train radio and television program presenters, as well as professionals in various media fields, to enhance their vocal abilities. Additionally, it provides theoretical knowledge and technical tools that enable participants to develop an awareness of their voice, take ownership of it, and adapt it to effectively convey the content they intend to deliver to their audience.
By the end of the course, participants will have acquired a substantial knowledge base regarding the importance of sound. They will be able to identify the components of sound and its concentration mechanisms, improve their voice performance, exercise control over it, and capture the recipient’s attention. The course covers several key areas. First, understanding the concept and components of beautiful sound, with a focus on the features of sound and its impact on the audience. Next, addressing potential issues that may impede sound quality and effective communication, such as psychological factors, language proficiency, and regional dialect influence. Then, providing practical methods to overcome obstacles to clear sound and effective delivery, including ongoing training, recognition of proper pitch, and text editing. In addition to that, exploring ways to enhance sound quality and delivery. Lastly, adapting sound and narration based on the type of content, such as headlines, political news, sports news, and voiceovers.

During the course, the first hour of each day is dedicated to the theoretical side, while the remaining hours focus on exercises and questions. The topics are divided as follows over a three-day period:
First, the importance of sound: This section explores the concept and components of a beautiful voice, highlighting the features of sound and its impact on the recipient. It discusses the role played by clear sound, the correct articulation of letters, and effective delivery in conveying the material.
Second, challenges that may hinder sound and recitation: This part addresses potential obstacles, including the psychological barrier that can confuse the reader and make their voice reflect fear and anxiety. It also covers issues such as weaknesses in the Arabic language, a lack of awareness of dialectal differences, limited general knowledge, unfamiliarity with scientific terms and their correct pronunciation, as well as inadequate training, incorrect breathing methods, and improper language usage. Third, practical methods for overcoming sound and delivery challenges: In this section, participants learn practical strategies to overcome these problems and address the psychological barriers. They understand that fear is a form of responsibility and become accustomed to reading in front of an audience. Participants engage in ongoing training, record their voice, listen to it, and monitor their performance development by recording the same text multiple times. They also learn to identify the correct sound pitch by experimenting with various vocal registers and adopting the most comfortable one. Additional topics include effective preparation, text editing, word formation techniques, the use of hands and body as aids during recording, and the application of body language during presentations.
The media course received significant attention from students, who actively participated in the training to ensure that they derived maximum benefit from their involvement. After the course concluded, the Al Jazeera Media Institute presented certificates to the participants.
