The First Session of the Second Day of the Fifth International Scientific Conference on Administrative and Financial Sciences (ICAFS 2025): Managing Business Landscape with Cutting-Edge Solutions
Within the framework of the Fifth International Scientific Conference on Administrative and Financial Sciences, which was organized by Cihan University – Erbil in cooperation with the Polish University of Lodz and the University of Mosul, the first session among the main sessions held on the second day of this conference was titled Managing Business Landscape with Cutting-Edge Solutions. This session was held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Hall at Cihan University – Erbil.
Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Salahuddin Ali presented his research titled The Impacts of the Force Majeure Clause on the Supply Chain Resilience in Response to Unexpected Disruption, highlighting a range of legal and legislative effects of deterrence and its impact on supply chain resilience, as well as the legal measures companies can take in the event of unexpected disruptions and the response mechanisms according to applicable laws.
Dr. Sana Issa then presented her research on a sample of Iraqi commercial banks titled Digital Transformation in Developing Competencies and Talents in Human Resources. She emphasized that the research problem arises from the weak use of human resources for digital technology methods and provided a set of solutions and proposals to address this issue, along with training mechanisms for human resources to use technology to reduce administrative and financial errors.
Dr. Ghani Dahham presented his research titled The Impact of Digital Knowledge on Strategic Leadership, where he pointed out the importance of digital knowledge and its role in strategic leadership. He applied the study variables at Al-Warka Bank for Investment, highlighting the results that showed a correlation between digital knowledge and strategic leadership, and offered a set of proposals to help banks invest in and develop digital knowledge, in particular.
Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar Sultan presented his research titled Smart Home Configuration and Control: Transforming Residential Spaces into an Effective Work Environment, discussing the key ways to convert traditional work environments into smart work environments using the latest digital methods. He also provided a set of recommendations to companies and institutions, highlighting the essential measures that can be taken to improve work quality and measure progress within the framework of using artificial intelligence technologies to achieve set goals.
Assistant Lecturer Zaid Khalil Ibrahim presented his research titled Measuring the Level of Implementation of Green Manufacturing Strategies: A Case Study at the Intravenous Solutions Factory in Nineveh, reviewing the key conditions that must be followed to achieve an advanced level of environmentally friendly industries and methods to reduce waste in the raw materials used in manufacturing, with the possibility of using artificial intelligence technologies to achieve this goal. He proposed a set of recommendations for factories aimed at increasing production levels and reducing risks resulting from waste and pollution.
Assistant Lecturer Imad Al-Din Majid presented his research titled Addressing Linguistic Challenges in Statistics Education, highlighting the main problems and challenges related to language and translation faced by statistical science students. He also discussed the most important methods to address these issues and the key artificial intelligence tools that help students and researchers confront linguistic errors in statistical studies.
At the end of the session, attendees posed a series of questions to the researchers who addressed various administrative topics and how to apply artificial intelligence systems to improve institutional performance in the administrative field, positively reflecting on the management of the work environment according to modern scientific methods.
