The General Education Department Organized a Discussion Session

The Department of General Education held a discussion session entitled “The Advantage and Disadvantages of Using Smart Phone among Children” on Monday 4th of October -2021 at the Academy Hall under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Saman Babakir, in the presence of head of department Dr. Ahmad Abd Aoun and Assistant Lecturer Dashne Abdullah Saeed. The meeting was held by second-year students, namely Zinab Khalid, Rayan Saud and Warzi Saman.
The discussion mainly focused on the advantage and disadvantage of using smartphone by children. Nowadays, most of the children use smartphones for different purposes that probably affect them physically and psychologically. During the discussion, participants were asked some questions and they exchanged their opinions.
It is worth mentioning that the example of this kind of discussion is one of the General Education department’s plans for doing activities outside the classroom to improve students’ skills in academic speaking and using English words directly related to their lessons.
