The Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil, in Collaboration with Dijlah Satellite Channel, Conducted a Training Course.

The Department of Media at Cihan University-Erbil, in collaboration with Dijlah Satellite Channel, organized a training course to enhance students’ television production and presentation skills. The program aims to develop students’ abilities in the media field. Dr. Riyad Al-Adly, a television program producer and presenter, led the media training course, covering various topics. The course spanned three days, starting on Sunday, January 29, and concluding on January 31, 2024.

Twenty students from all academic levels participated in the course. The training covered diverse media topics, including autocue setup, ambient sounds integration, language integrity and expression maintenance, understanding the TV presenter’s role in terms of content, performance, and appearance, overcoming camera fear, mastering dialogue proficiency, staying neutral in proposals, eliminating tension, cultivating quick wit, managing body language, adapting to changes, and building a strong relationship between the presenter and the team. The course also included hands-on exercises in the Cihan TV studio.

After the course, the Media Department expressed gratitude to journalist Riyad Al-Adly for his contribution to student training. They also conveyed Dijlah Channel’s willingness to continue collaborating with Cihan University’s Media Department, aiming to provide ongoing training for students and offer job opportunities to outstanding individuals in the media field.
